Who the Heck Am I?
I’m one of 7 billion people with a unique soul but not a unique thought. I will likely echo sentiments and perspectives that have circulated existence since the dawn of time (there’s nothing new under the sun, after all). But my aim has never been to say anything original. My aim has always been to connect. And I hope I connect with you. I hope my God may be yours too; I hope my mistakes make you laugh because you’ve “been there, done that” too.
Why Here and Now?
I recently turned 30, and something about the turn of a new decade put a fire in my belly to write something again. I’ve built little towers of thoughts over many years on small platforms, but now it’s time to do some real construction work. God willing, whatever is built will be a house of healing where His Spirit dwells.
The Community Here
I’m not a just a regular Christian, I’m a cool Christian (“Mean Girls” aficionados, anyone?). Truly, I am a Christian who is drawn to three things in faith and journey with Christ:
His Beauty
His People
His Suffering
Many themes and reflections I want to contribute involve these three things to a degree. I would love for this community to add to the story of how beautiful Jesus is, how His people are broken and transformed, and how suffering is not to be feared, but held.
